Vectos staff win Colliers TRYathlon for third consecutive year
Congratulations to the Vectorious team comprising Stan Gruncell, Jason Huxham and Alastair Bamford for winning the Male Team category at the 2017 Colliers Bristol TRYathlon, with a time of 56 minutes and 6 seconds. A huge effort from Stan this year who competed in the event twice and also won the Under 40s Male category in 50 minutes and 43 seconds.
Captain of Vectorious and winner in his own right Stan Gruncell said Colliers organises a great event each year, which is evidenced by the increasing number of competitors since its inception five years ago.
“The TRYathlon not only raises money for wonderful charities but also brings 250 competitors from our 50 leading companies in our industry together for a fantastic day that promotes fitness,” he said.
"The event is extremely well organised, providing a great afternoon out competing, followed by a social BBQ afterwards for networking.
“This is our third consecutive win and we are hoping to take the title again next year. We plan to compete in other industry sporting events throughout the year to help improve our time."
In the team event, Stan competed in the 400 m swim, Alastair competed in the 16 km rural road cycle, and Jason competed in the 5 km run.
The event raised £5,700 for Colliers chosen charity The West of England MS Therapy Centre - the highest amount raised since its inception. This will help them continue their positive work in the region providing treatments and therapies to people living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
