We are retained by Stanhope on this major £50 million mixed-use scheme comprising some 150,000 sqm of office space, 10,000 sqm of retail/restaurant uses and 625 residential units including affordable housing. It is located in the heart of Croydon's central business area, immediately adjoining East Croydon Station with direct links to the platforms. It is part of the major Croydon Vision 2020 regeneration scheme and has a vision of creating an exciting new business, residential and leisure quarter within the centre of Croydon.
Linkages to the station and town centre were key issues and we worked with Croydon and Network Rail to promote expansion of the station including a new bridge giving access from the platforms to the site. The scheme was taken through public inquiry with David Bird providing expert evidence. Planning permission was granted and the scheme is now under construction.
