Vectos’ Stan Gruncell wins JLL Property Triathlon
Congratulations to Stan Gruncell who won the individual male category of the JLL Property Triathlon as well as to Mike Axon, Anthony Tugwell, Jason Huxham and Andrew Ward who took part in various events.
Stan completed the Individual Triathlon (750 m swim, 21.2 km ride, 5 km run) in an incredible 1:03:13 despite the blistering heat, making him not only his age group winner, but the overall category winner. Jason Huxham also raced in the triathlon, finishing with an impressive time of 1:19:42.
Mike Axon and Andrew Ward competed in the Individual Duathlon (5 km run, 21.2 km ride, 2.5 km run), completing it in 1:18:37 and 1:20:26 seconds respectively. While Anthony Tugwell competed in the Relay Triathlon as the Winckworth Sherwood team’s cyclist, completing his leg as the 13th fastest in 32:34.
As a first-time entrant, Stan Gruncell said JLL organised a fantastic, well-organised event.
“It was a great day out catching up with a bunch of people in the industry. I’m looking forward to competing again next year and hopefully breaking one hour.
“The event brings 3,500 competitors plus spectators from the property industry together for a fantastic day that promotes fitness, but most importantly raises money for a wonderful charity,” he said.
This year the event raised more than £200,000 for JLL’s chosen charity Crisis – the national charity with the goal of ending homelessness in the UK.
