To respond to the sustained growth in the Bristol market Ian Southwell is joining Neil Brant to head up our Bristol office and strengthen our offer in the region. The move will also see Mike Axon play an ever more active role in our Bristol office. With the drive and expertise of these three Directors together, we expect our success story to continue.
With the vast opportunities for growth within Bristol as well as Oxfordshire, Bath and North East Somerset and Gloucestershire we are focussing on delivering more projects in the region.
Ian has previously worked in Bristol and has strong local knowledge. The close geographical proximity to Cardiff means he has also remained active in the Bristol market.
Bristol’s economy has flourished in recent years, fuelled in part by its proximity to London’s booming economy and overheating housing market. Due to a lack of housing supply, Bristol had the highest percentage growth in house prices in the UK last year.
Bristol’s economic success has attracted Londoners making a break from the expensive cost of living, while the city’s two universities have also fed an additional 10,000 students into the local population over the past decade.
