We are retained by St James West London Limited on this major mixed use scheme in west London close to Southall town centre and station having previously acted for National Grid Property in obtaining the original planning permission for the redevelopment of the site. The scheme comprises circa: 3,750 residential units; 20,000 m² of retail; 1,700 m² of restaurants etc.; offices, a hotel, conference and banqueting facilities; and leisure facilities.
We are engaged on an on-going basis and out recent work has included preparing an updated Transport Assessment to support a Section 73 application for the approval of a revised masterplan for the St James proposals. This work also included providing design advice with regard to the revised masterplan layout as part of the design team and discussions with TfL and the London Borough of Ealing with regard to key parameters including cycle route provision. We have also prepared a Transport Assessment to support a variation of condition application which would allow work to commence on-site early and assist in the early delivery of housing on the site. This included a detailed analysis of predicted construction traffic movements and their routes to and from the site. In 2015 David Bird presented evidence at the CPO inquiry.
In addition to this, we have also undertaken detailed design of the proposed site access junctions in consultation with TfL and London Borough of Ealing and are continuing to provide on-going support as St James bring forward the development and S278 highway works.
