Proposed Mixed Use scheme including 55,000sqft foodstore, 92,000sqft of non-food retail development, 161 residential units and multi-storey car park located in Penrith.
Vectos prepared the Transport Assessment to support the planning application for this mixed use scheme which, supplemented by a detailed analysis of car parking demand across the town centre, helped to achieve a successful planning consent.
The site benefited from an extant planning consent, which had been part implemented but then mothballed due to the economic downturn.
Vectos’ innovative Transport Assessment approach allowed negotiation of removal of the top deck of a multi-storey car park, together with agreement with the Highways Agency on a reduced scale of improvements at the A66 Kemplay Bank Roundabout, compared to the previous planning approved scheme.
