Manchester Grande Hotel
Vectos has been advising Allied London on the regeneration of the former Granada Studios site in Manchester and in particular the redevelopment of Granada House office block as the Manchester Grande Hotel. This development will provide around 200 bedrooms with high quality restaurants as well as ancillary conferencing and leisure facilities using the former ITV studios as event spaces.
The development forms a key anchor to the development mix and will offer a high quality hotel to support this burgeoning cultural quarter known as St Johns. The scheme itself will require a drop‐off zone and valet parking operation.
Vectos has supported the scheme with the masterplan development to ensure the scheme supports the wider development aspirations, as well as a Transport Statement, Travel Plan and a Waste & Servicing Strategy to support the planning application.
Vectos understand the requirements of Manchester City Council and have been able to negotiate on the implications of removing on street parking to create a drop‐off zone and to design a servicing strategy that will not result in an adverse impact on local residents.
Using our experience we are advising on the parking provision, drop-off zones, changes to Traffic Orders, a waste and servicing strategy as well as advising on accessibility by public transport. This project is ongoing.
