Former Putney Hospital Site
Vectos was appointed by Wandsworth Council in early 2012 to provide transport consultancy advice in relation to the proposed redevelopment of the former Putney Hospital site. The former hospital has been vacant since 1999 and is now derelict. The proposed development comprises of a new two-form entry primary school and 24 residential units, with associated access and landscaping.
Vectos provided advice to the London Borough of Wandsworth throughout the Masterplan stage. Advice was provided in relation to access from the public highway both for vehicles and for pedestrians, site layout, car and cycle parking, vehicle drop-off for the school, coach access, refuse and servicing.
Subsequently, Vectos prepared a Transport Assessment and Framework Travel Plan which incorporated both the school and the proposed residential units and a Delivery and Servicing Plan for the site. The Framework Travel Plan proposed a range of measures to encourage pupils, staff and visitors to the school to travel by sustainable modes.
The planning application was approved in December 2013.
