Vectos have significant experience of providing Transport Assessments in relation to a variety of fast food and drive thru restaurants, including for Subway, McDonalds, KFC and Costa Coffee. For developments of this nature, the primary topics requiring our input are often the site access arrangement, car park layout, delivery route and traffic impact. We have recent Inquiry experience, working for KFC, which resulted in a scheme that was refused planning consent on residential amenity grounds as a result of traffic being granted consent at appeal.
We have advised Costa Coffee in relation to a number of schemes, including the introduction of coffee shops within existing retail parks and on high street locations. Nationally, these have included sites at the Deva Retail Park in Chester, the Beckton Triangle retail park in London and at Timperley in Greater Manchester. At Timperley we were required to prepare a Delivery Management Plan for a tight site that shares its service yard with a Sainsbury’s Local store.
